Another WireJack

Post by Bootclad »

I bought this knife a little while back. The knife is almost identical to a Geo. Schrade Pat. 9-21-26 (see singin46's latest post 'Wire Jack' and pics) but there is no makers mark on the knife. One side of the tang says Stainless Steel, so the knife is obviously newer than the Schrade and on the other side of the tang is PAT 9-31-36, in a very blotched stamping. Could this knife have been a rushed SS proto type from Schrade, patent no. error and don't bother to put a makers stamp on it - or - mabey a knock off?

Knives were invented 'cos blunt sticks just don't cut it.

I'm no expert but your knife is identical to the wire jack in my Boy Scout mess kit. Pat 1-27-42 is the number on mine. Just click the pics and the tang stamp should be legible. I hope! ::nod::
