Canal Street D'Holder Prototype Benefit Drawing 2012

Post by philco »

Back in 2010 we held a raffle to benefit AAPK member Anthony Meeks (Tank) and gave away a Canal Street prototype fixed blade knife designed by D'Alton Holder. Mike Latham (knifeswapper) won that drawing. Recently he contacted me saying he would like to dontate that knife back for another fundraiser. He has specified that this time around half the proceeds go to help Tank and the other half go toward the operations expenses here at AAPK.

Once again we will be selling 100 chances to win this knife at $10 per chance. The sale of these chances go until the end of this month, Feb. 29 or until all 100 chances have been sold. The drawing for the winner will be held on March 7, and Bryan Sanders will draw the winning number.

We learned last time around that paypal does not permit the transfer of funds for the purpose of raffles, so you are asked to send either a check or money order made payable to All About Pocket Knives to one of the addresses shown below:

Phil Stevens (philco)
835 Stingy Creek Road
Stanford, Ky. 40484

or

AAPK
14247 E. Dutch Lane
Effingham, Il. 64401

Numbers will be assigned as funds are recieved and will be posted to this thread as they are assigned. There will be no numbers reserved and they will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. In the even that all chances sell out before your payment is reiceved, your check or money order will be returned to you.

Below is a link to the thread where this knife was originally raffled off. There you will find photos of the knife being raffled.

http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... +prototype

In addition, I'm donating a Canal Street congress knife to be given away as a second prize in this drawing. Once the first prize winner has been drawn, all remaining numbers will be elligible to win this knife.

I would like to personally thank Mike Latham for this generous gift and his willingness to help both our friend Tank, and our great knife site, AAPK.

Sounds like a good idea Phil, however, I think I would narrow it down to one mail to address to keep the bookkeeping simple. I'll take two.

Bryan and I will be in daily contact so I don't think the two addresses will present a problem.
