we all grieve in our own way

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

we all grieve in our own way

Post by chetr1200c »

i didn't want to hijack the tread in general discussion for drs and his lung cancer. but i just got off the phone with my brother who is a two time vietnam vet and a jehovah wittness for the past 25 yrs. he informed me that our only sister passed away this morning from a fierce battle over the past three years with diabetes.
she had a very rough life from the start.
she was 65 yrs old.
she was very religious.
she now rests in peace.

goodbye mary ellen

So sorry for your loss Chet. Be comforted in knowing that all illnesses and injuries are taken away and she is again whole, resting in the bosom of Jesus.

Chet, I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. Trust me, she is now in a more beautiful place than we can imagine. You are in my thoughts.

thanks guys, out of eight brothers, she was the only girl. but damm she was tough as nails. she made the local headlines once when she was younger, hanging a number on three city cops.... yep, tough as nails.
three of our brothers went before her, they now have a four member pinochle game. when we were younger, we would have 3 games going at the same time in our family.
but sheesh, she was a sore loser with a wicked tantrum, i always hated to be her partner.

i would love to sit across from her now.
