New Canal Street Pinch Lock Backs are now released!
Just a note to let you all know that the first Canal Street Pinches are hitting the street.
We have been real excited about this knife and it has met our expectations quality wise.
They have Carbon Steel (D2) Blades, stainless steel liners, springs and locking mechanism,
and the mechanism - after a lot of turmoil - is working smooth as butter and has a great
snap. Stop by and take a look at them at our web site or at an upcoming show.
Amber Tortoise Shell 3¾" Pinch Lock Back
American Chestnut Wood 3¾" Pinch Lock Back
For those of you who have been to our Canal Street Cutlery Shop ~ we have closed up the
Pine Bush location as of yesterday ~ but will be opening at a new location ~ probably in New Paltz
in the very near future.
best regards,
Michael

The American Chestnut and Smooth Sunset Bone suggested retail price is $90 … we are selling them for $84.95
The Tortoise Shell suggested retail price is $150 …. we are selling them for $129.95
The Mother of Pearl … well we broke a lot of pearl making them.. almost $1000 worth of pearl bit the dust … it is selling for $169.95 ~ and there were only 15 that made it through!

Michael,
I was sorry to hear about the closing of the Pine Bush shop...I was just up through that way this week headed for Connecticut and was going to stop in for a purchase! Now I guess I am going to have to wait for the new opening in New Paltz??? Why New Paltz?
Anyway, looking forward to finding out the location for the new shop!
Thanks
Tom

Tom,
Thanks for your kind words. I hope you will call or email me next time and see if we can get together whether the shop is open or not. New Paltz may not work. The space is tiny ~ almost microscopic.

Michael,
Those are great looking knives. I am pleased to see Canal Street is continuing to introduce new patterns and designs into their lineup. It's obvious that the folks there are striving for top quality knives in appealing patterns. Please let me know if they need an official "field tester".

Tom, Harold says you know more about knives (at least the history of them) than he does, great compliment!
He's really enjoying the easy to work with materials that Mike's been bringing in

Not true Eric......
He's just playing possum...hahahhah
He built a whole lot of the prototypes for Schrade as well as a good many of the customs as well....I would love to have a job like his....never a dull moment. And I'm liking what I see from his handy work at CS as well!
