Question: What is the name they give these bottle type shape knives ?

Re: Post Your "Hammer Brand" Knifes (HAMMER BRAND PEARL HAND
I like the knives. I don't know much about Hammer brand. The first knife looks like a bowling pin (not a pattern name I'm sure) and the second a fishing knife. The later has a scaler on the top of the blade and a bottle opener for when the fish aren't biting. s-k

Re: Post Your "Hammer Brand" Knifes !!!
Hey Draac, I think you gave fair money for all these you won. The first is a bowling pin knife, they came on a Display card with huge bowling pins on it. They made these in many differing colors of celluloid. As well as the ones that looked just like pins, with red collars on them even. Here's a pic of the card. As to the dog toothpick, maybe someone else could chime in on that one. They made a lot of Kamp King knives. Here's mine. I call her green zebra! Also many of my Hammer Brand knives.

Re: Post Your "Hammer Brand" Knifes !!!
that's what I was thinking!
And the Shield isn't centered too well and is a little crooked..kinda makes it unique.
worth $3.00 I guess..

You will find that the fish knife is stamped Imperial!
They made them with 3 different scenes on them.
Imperial bought the Hammer Brand name from New York Knife Co. and began producing
knives with the Hammer Brand stamp in '36.
You won't be disappointed that it has the Imperial stamp!
Now you have a goal of acquiring the other two with scenes on them
I need to up-date this pic since "Mr. Singin'' has me cleaning them up now (Perry! )

Nice old New York Knife Co.
Wondering when someone would post an original Hammer Brand knife. Let me introduce Luther's knife. Never met Luther, but I have his knife.

Draac Thanks
It is a timber scribe or rase knife. It was used to mark the ends of logs to identify the log at the mill, and to mark wooden barrels.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
That's a great old knife, SK. It's got a little bit of everything going for it
Nice knife Luther!
Here's a couple more old ones.
An aluminum handle ad: E. H. BEST & Co. with Woolen Felts on the pile side. These were commissioned
by the Best Co. and were made by a couple more manufacturers. (I have a Schrade stamped one on the way)
And an excessively cleaned rope. It's blinding me!
Has anyone come up with a surefire quick patina trick yet? Coke? Apple peelin'?
