Kentconn,

I cannot tell you much about the age, But here is an idea on three of these knives if they were in mint condition:

12819 $1100
12829 $1200
12839 $1400

Keep in mind that info is from "The price guide to collector knives Fifteenth Edition" by Houston Price, and Mark Zalesky copyright 2008. With todays down market with knives these values can seem pretty inflated. For example, I bought a 12829 close to the same condition you have pictured for about $450 a few months back.

All excellent Knives though ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

I happen to own an 12839 like the one you show. I can tell you it ought to have an etch "King of the Woods", if it has the etch it will greatly enhance the value, if it doesn't, that probably means the knife has been cleaned and that will affect the value in a downward direction.

It sounds like he was phishing for any member's insight for the benefit of his sale.
I wonder if we will hear from him again.

Ya know, when someone is selling a POS the give you way more pics than you want to see, but if they're selling an expensive knife they want you to email for pics ::dang:: Go figure ::shrug::

The page hesitates a little bit before opening. I went through most of his threads there and they were all slow. I did just click on the link and it did open.
