GEC Woodies
I like the wood handles on some of these GECs. Plain and simple, yet elegant and durable. Show us your favorite GEC woodies!

The wood handles are some of my favorites, but need to get some ebony yet. That lockback wharnie and the dogleg jack are really nice.

Perry, I bought the 'lil carver off an ebay dealer. Got a good price at auction and was gonna use it for EDC, but it is so purty I just couldn't bring myself to use it yet. I have a Northfield barlow with a wharncliffe blade that I really like as a usin' knife. Cuts like a laser and stays sharp as hell.

There you go. All you need do is get to the point where you have "all those knives". I think with a couple more I'll be almost there.

Does that ever happen? Really?Gunstock Jack wrote:There you go. All you need do is get to the point where you have "all those knives". I think with a couple more I'll be almost there.
... I see folks all the time sayin' "The only cure for GEC fever is to get another one", well, it ain't curin' me so far, and I keep sayin' "All I need is just X, and I'll be good for a while ... "
And then I see the next one ...
Can anyone provide the link for 'GEC Gottahave Anonymous'?

Re: GEC Woodies
Nice knives gents!
Gunstock,
Looks like we have a few knives in common. The Ebony Dogleg Jack and Cocobolo Little Carver look familiar.
Singin,
Doc's Knife Works has a couple of the Cocobolo Little Carvers in stock. http://shop.docsknifeworks.com/category.sc?categoryId=7
Ebony #56, Cocobolo #25 and the one on the right is a French Laguiole with ebony, olivewood and filework. Not a GEC, but I tossed it in because that covers all my wood handled knives.

Very nice guys!
Ken, maybe I just haven't been paying attention but that shield on your knife is just great!
Now I have to go searching around to see if I just overlooked it or what! It could be the wood that makes it stand out

That shield is out there...................it was easy to overlook, there aren't very many!
Maybe it's used on low-runs or limited knives...............more digging!
