frog spear/gig

Not sure how old this one is? I've found very little info on pflueger frog spears. Maybe somebody can help me date this one. Marked pflueger ecko made in usa patented 1,621,082. Any info is appreciated

Don't know about dating, but we used to call them GIGS, as in GIGGING for frogs or frog GIGGING. Never called them a spear.
