Thunderbird knapped blades

Post by Gunstock Jack »

Does anybody know anything about flintknapped pieces that resemble a winged raptor? My stepfather picked up a couple of these and I have never seen anything like them before. They appear to be authentic, excellently knapped pieces. They resemble a winged eagle or phoenix or raptor. They have knapped wings on either side and a head and tail, obviously a bird of some kind. What are they?

I really don't know what you have as I've never heard of anything like that before. Do you have any pictures you can post?

They belong to my step father and I don't have any picts. I will try to get some next time we go to visit. They are very unusual, and may have religious significance or?
