The first step is to get to the User Control Panel.
Step #1
If you currently have an avatar and are changing your Avatar, you'll see this screen.
Step 2a
After doing Step 2a -- Skip to Step 4
If You've never had an Avatar or currently don't have and Avatar, you'll see this screen.
Step 2b
Step 3
Step 4
Personally, I would not fool with these two options.
You can load the Avatar from the Internet (but it has to be 100 pixels x 100 pixels or less on the web site you load it from)
Or from your Gallery on AAPK (once again, the image in the gallery has to be 100 pixels x 100 pixels or less)

Thanks for posting that, Jerry. I was always too lazy to try to figure out how to add an avatar, but, you made it easy. I now have an avatar and know how to change it.
