Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
Not exactly sure where to make this request but it sure would be helpful if the email notification of a new PM received could be restored. I just found 2 new PMs in my in box and they had been there for a while.

Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
Ray, do you have this setting checked in the "Control Panel" on the "Board Preferences" tab?? If you do, then this is a Bryan issue. As you can see, I have it checked and I'm not getting email notifications of PMs either but then I never have.Paladin wrote:Not exactly sure where to make this request but it sure would be helpful if the email notification of a new PM received could be restored. Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
Jerry,
For years I had the email notification and then all of a sudden I didn't. I haven't made any changes but truth is, I can't figure how to get there to check it out.
Ray
Found the way to the control panel and verified that my preferences still show that I should get an email notification when a PM is posted.

Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
Now that I've had time to think about it, I kind of vaguely remember getting emails for a while when I received a PM but I haven't been getting them for a long time. Since your settings are all correct, it sounds like a Bryan issue to me.Paladin wrote:Jerry,

MikeThe link thing works fine on my Android. Don't know what to tell ya. As for the stores, you may have to do what Greg did until Bryan has a chance to take a look at that issue.
Dan, you definitely have a Bryan issue there. I was able to sign off and sign back on with no problems. Weird glitch.

Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
It will let me log out now. My name comes up when I navigate to the board index page, but I am actually not logged in. However, my board index page is still stuck om May 4 at 9:03 AM. However, when I click into a forum? (ie Knife Lore etc.) everything is good.

As per recommendation I can now access the store's with Google search.
As it turns out the my issue with "quick links" is not an issue at all. I do lose the word "quick links" after I click on "board index" but the index bars remain. Thanks for the help guys. Mike

Same here Ray.
I checked the settings & I was supposed to be receiving emails, so I turned them off and then turned them back on.
I still am not getting emails when I get a new PM.
Obviously a "Bryan Issue."
BTW Jerry; you are hereby officially credited with creating the phrase "Bryan Issue" for anything we cannot solve without his help.

Re: Navagating The "New" Forum
At the risk of seeming dense, once I have started a post, how can I delete? To explain, I was in the process of typing (keying?) a post and I decided not to make the post but there is no 'cancel' button at least none that I can find.
I also tried to find a way to send a PM to the writer of a particular post but I could not find that option either.

Ray I haven't seen a cancel button either so I just hit the back button and return to the thred seems to work. If you click on the name of the poster it will bring up their profile then click on send pm from there.

Greg, I ended up doing the same thing but somehow it just doesn't seem like a very proper or efficient way to handle the escape.gsmith7158 wrote:Ray I haven't seen a cancel button either so I just hit the back button and return to the thred seems to work. Ray, I don't understand your objection to leaving by the door you came in at.Paladin wrote: somehow it just doesn't seem like a very proper or efficient way to handle the escape.

Jerry,
Remember that I am not very computer savy. I guess I have no objection IF that is the proper way to get rid of it. I was afraid that my partially, or fully, typed message would be floating out there in the interwebs for infinity, maybe to be discovered by some futuristic explorer.
