Robeson/Cutlery/Rochester

The first Robeson knives were imported by Millard Robeson from England and Germany exclusively. This continued from 1979 until 1896 when Robeson began manufacturing knives in the United States. Since inception, the company has gone through several reorganizations & eventually ended up as a Queen Cutlery brand.

That is a nice little knife, Harold. ::tu::
I wonder if it was sold as a boys knife being 3" and bare headed.

I think the "Made In USA" stamp puts it after 1921 (?).

During WWI Robeson constructed a separate wood structure plant in Mount Morris, New York. I'm not sure what all was made there, but Tom Kalcevic in Knives Can Talk! stated that the knives were marked, ROBESON / CUTLERY / ROCHESTER, like yours.

The Mount Morris plant and that tang stamp, he dated 1917 - 1939, but given the above, your knife should date circa 1921 - 1939.

Nice knife.

I have a couple with that stamp.
