I've been remiss in commenting. You guys have posted some very nice old Robeson knives here lately.

Thanks for the kind comments. Like I said, the quality, fit and finish of this knife is superb.
Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Here is a pair from a group of Robesons I picked up recently. Love the bone handles on both of these old knives.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
It's been awhile since anybody's posted here, what gives?
Just got this one in a trade. 623858 pattern, I would say it's a sleeveboard pen. Excellent bone as usual. Here it is with my only other bone robeson, I love these wonderful little knives. The thin little pen blades are absolute scalpels.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Here is a 3 3/8" 2 blade EO jack which i just won on ebay so these are seller's pictures.
Is this a WW II EO Jack ? It has the arched stamping which i associate with much earlier Robesons but i know many of the bone EO Jacks were made during WW II.
The knife looks fine to me but i am not that familiar with Robesons so if something looks 'not right' please do post about it.
thanks, kj

Roland, regardless of the stamp, that bone is consistent with the WWII EO jacks from Robeson.
Beautiful knife.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Yes the bone looks similar to that on my Camillus & Imperial WW II EO Jacks of this size & pattern.
Silvey calls these "Navy General Utility" knives and says there were supplied to the military by Camillus, Imperial, Kingston, Utica & Pal. He does not give Robeson as having made these for the military.
The military ones have a bail.
So likely then that my Robeson 2 blade EO Jack is a civilian knife made circa WW II.
Thanks for the help Charlie,
kj

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
I was mentioning to my brother that I was starting to collect pocket knives. Our Dad was a fan of Buck knives, so I have one of those, and I also knew he liked Case knives, as he gave me one when I was a teenager (that's 40+ years ago...still looking for that one! ). I thought that was it. He messages me on Facebook asking if I wanted this one...a Robeson Shuredge 512224. It's been etched with my Dad's initials, so it definitely has sentimental value to me. Very nice color on the handles. It's in real nice condition other than some tarnish.
Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
Very nice Robeson folders Paul, KJ and Pocketlance
Here is a pearl Robeson Gunstock pen knife. It is pattern no. 722362 and it is 3 & 3/16 inches closed. It has a few very tiny spots on the blades but no rust, corrosion or pitting. The pearl is splendid with no cracks or imperfections. Transitions are buttery smooth like a well used bar of soap. W & T is near perfection and there is no lateral blade play from either blade when open. May have been lightly cleaned before it came into my possession. The blades are full and it Looks like it has never been sharpened post production. Thanks for looking, Lloyd

Duffer, what an unusual & truly mint knife ! It is a pattern i have not seen before. Likely it is a rare Robeson ?
Great find; there cannot be a finer example.

Re: SHOW YOUR NEW (TO YOU) ROBESON
LLoyd, that's a beautiful gunstock jack.
I have one, but not nearly so nice.
They made a similar whittler. I have it in bone, but have never seen it in pearl, although it wouldn't surprise me to learn they made one.
