Testing something.

This tells me Photobucket is causing the inability to enlarge pictures issue. ::nod::

John the first and third pictures expanded for me with a single click. The second picture did not expand. Hope that helps you.

Yep, the second picture was uploaded to Photobucket and then downloaded to my tablet. Mystery solved! ::idea::

I have just joined AAPK and want to make sure i understand posting pictures here: it can only be by attaching pics that are stored in my computer. correct ?
i.e. my photobucket albums of knife pics cannot be used ??
I do not have a mobile phone, or tablet(whatever that is), MP3 player, etc. so none of these options if they exist will apply to me.
thanks for whatever help i need.

That is correct and the picture must be in .jpg format. .PNG, .bmp, .gif and other formats will not work.

Welcome to AAPK!!!

I know that JerryD is our local computer whiz/guru, but I thought we could link to photos stored on PhotoBucket or some other hosting site.

Far be it from me to argue with Jerry, that was just my impression from previous reading.

We used to be able to do that but Bryan wanted all the pictures hosted right here on AAPK so they would be available as reference material in perpetuity for posterity. Pictures stored elsewhere get gone when Photobucket accounts (etc, etc) expire or are abandoned. That all happened two or three years ago. I don't remember exactly when. (looked it up. It was October 2013. Here is the thread where it's all explained -- viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38771 )

Makes sense, because there are tons of great pictures that were previously posted at BladeForums that no longer exist. I get tired of seeing that darn cat. ::td::

Funny how a paid site cannot host photos, but a free site can.

No offense to BF. It is what it is.

That is one of the worst things about Bladeforums, and just one of the many great things about AAPK.

Thanks Bryan and the rest of y'all.

I'm a new guy here, & attempting to figure out why 5 knife pics I posted don't show in my info, only the text posts. I posted these pics as Attachments on the Cattauragus 21087 page http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewtopic.php?t=36277
I don't know if I need to do something to update my Profile in the Control Panel. I don't know what it means to "Subscribe" images & other various choices/boxes there. ::doh:: Can you help me? Thanks much.
Information is everything, & optics help!
