My first CS , probably not my last!
My name is Tim and i'm a stagoholic.
Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?
GR8 photo and knife.
I am sure she will not be your LAST CS.
The more you get her out to fondle the more you will be looking for JUST one more. Then again you will be saying JUST one more.
That happens with them Canal Street knives.
Still the best knife out there for the money.

Hey Rusty______you were right _______the knife I got,did not have the threaded bolsters, although, the item numbers were the same____also,the bone color and jigging ,was different ______not the same knife I ordered"""not at all"": ::td::_____take a look,__________top photo,is the knife I received, and bottom photo,is what is advertised,on the web. site,as well as, on the Canal Street Cutlery web. site. ?????????? The reason I ordered, was the machined ringed bolsters __________waiting on a reply, from them now____I'll up-date with results******* MonkRusty1 wrote:Does yours have the threaded bolsters? Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?
Monk, you are right about the bone not looking the same as the stock picture. The jigging looks like a different style altogether. I took my sample out, and it is similar to the stock picture although mine is darker still on the jigging, the CSC catalogue number is the same as yours 315529 No threaded bolsters on mine as mentioned earlier. My knife also came from the same supplier now that I recall, birthday present from the wife!! I too was looking for the threaded bolsters. I kept the knife in the hope I may of found one with threaded bolsters later. CSC made a stockman with what they call Newcastle bone, which at first I thought yours may of been, although that is different again. One thing I do like about your knife is that the jigging goes from end to end, where usually they are hafted smooth when buffed. from pin to bolster.
Please post the answer you receive from the supplier.

Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?
Thanks for the compliment Monk..............most pictures are good without flash and natural daylight also helps, greyish days so the blades don,t end up looking blue, because of the sky.
Here is my Stockman as requested bone came out a little darker than ir really is.

Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?
Follow up on different knife shipped************
Just got off the phone, with, The Knife Center (Pattie),about the Canal Street Stockman,I received_____very understanding, well handled, and I would do business with these folks again He was open to any option, that I wanted to correct the error/problem ( 100% refund, exchange, replace, try to find the correct knife, ect.)__I explained, that the reason,I ordered ,from them, was the machined/ringed, bolsters, and I could have bought the knife they sent me,for less,so I asked him for a refund of the price difference ???? and I'd just keep the knife??? I had a refund,to my account, before we got off the phone and I also, told him to find me the pictured knife, and I'd buy it too !!!!!!! This was my first time dealing with THE KNIFE CENTER,and I will have to say,the customer service,is second to none !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes Phil________I really like those Canal Street, too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! coming down, with another ""Knife Virus"" cough, cough, sneeze

Here's another.
Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?
Those half moon trappers are such a slim, pocket friendly design. I will be interested to hear how that one does for you as an EDC Johnny twoshoes. Even though I have accumulated several, I have not used any of my Canal Streets thus far.
