Virginia - Carolina Hardware Co.

Post by dcgm4 »

This straight razor was made for the Virginia-Carolina Hardware Co of Richmond, VA. It's the first straight razor I've ever bought. I don't collect straight razors, but cutlery related to old Virginia-based companies is extremely rare. I don't even care that part of the back handle broke off or that I have no idea how old it is. I'm just happy I was able to get a rare piece of Virginia cutlery. :D

Thanks, guys. :) I just added another Virginia-Carolina Hardware razor to my collection. This one doesn't have the original box like the other, but it's in better shape.

Good looking razors. Just judging from what I see, looks like early 20th Century razors to me.

Nice finds. ::tu::

Thanks a lot, Wullie. I've been having a hard time dating them even after reading a book on straight razors. :)
