Found this case at a resale shop for 20 dollars. very new to the collecting world of knives. i think this is a 1977 case by the markings. if wrong please correct me. has 3-dots under the case XX U.S.A. the pattern is M1051LSSP
cannot find any info on web site please advise.

Butcher you have correctly determined production year of your knife. If you wish to learn more about Case knives try out the Articles and Research tab at the top of the page. There's a dropdown tab there for Case. Also you might want to Google "Case College" and explore that website.

The case has etched glass on front. aAll glass is original and not cracked. Case has been painted probably 50 years ago by my wife's grandfather. It came from his mercantile store in a small town in Miss. I think it dates to early part of 1900's. Could some one tell me what it is worth and a better date?
