Prayers for my momma.

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayers for my momma.

Post by Colonel26 »

Momma just called me. She had a biopsy the other day on a small lump she found, the results came in today and it's cancer. She had two small places in her breast and the Dr says one just has some precancerous cells and the other is cancer.

The good news is its real early. The doc said he'd call it a stage 0 it's so early, and has given her week to decide whether to have a lumpectomy with radiation or a mastectomy with no radiation. Fortunately, momma is pretty healthy and pretty young, just 63.

I'd appreciate some prayers for her.

Thank you fellers.

I will put her on my list Wade and be praying for her daily.
Seems I got most of your family on that list; you, Valerie, Simon and now your momma.

Dale i really appreciate it. Some good news about your list is that Valerie is MUCH better, Simon is on epilepsy meds and doing great. I'm mending and start PT next Thursday. So the Lord has answered prayers! Thank you so much.

Praise the Lord she caught it early Wade. Will be praying for successful treatment, and full recovery.

Lyle, have not heard about your son until now. Will add him and your family to prayers.

Thanks guys. Momma was at church today, and this afternoon we told the boys.

Momma has decided at this point to have the spot removed and do a round of radiation. I appreciate all your prayers and I'll keep you updated.

Hey guys. Here's an update. Momma had the area removed, all went well and it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes. She's about to start a round of radiation just to make sure all is well and she ought to be home free. Thanks for the prayers. God is good.
