Asking for help

My 16 yo daughter, Audrey lost her best friend Karson to an apparent accidental drug overdose, who was only 16 years old also. It is sooo sad and heart wrenching fellas, such a tragedy I truly can't express it in words and can only now type this some 2 weeks after. They had been friends since they were 5 years old. Spent many a weekend with that lil angel, soccer games, school plays, choir, sleepovers, movies, bowling, fishing, hunting, you name it Karson was there with my daughter and I. Such a vibrant and beautiful girl,I'm still in shock just can't believe it. Please join me in prayer for Karson to be at peace, for her family to heal and my daughter to have strength in her faith with God. May God rest her lil soul.

I came across this verse and I thought of this thread,
sounds like this could easily have been written for
Karson.........tell your daughter we are sorry for her
loss.

"Her life earnest, her actions kind,
A willing hand, an active mind,
Anxious to please, loath to offend,
A loving daughter and faithful friend."
RIP Karson, you will be missed.

Sometimes words aren't adaquate to express how we feel when we experence something like this. Even though we don't know you or the family of Karson, most of us have had similar losses and realize that our help comes from the Lord. Be sure to know that a lot more people are probably praying than posting. Treefarmer

I have a daughter the same age as she was. It makes my heart ache to hear of such a sad loss. I pray for her familiy and for you and your family Earl as you grieve her passing. My daughter has friends who have been coming to our home for years and I understand how you get to feeling almost like they are part of your family. Put your trust in the Lord. He will give you strength and comfort you in your sorrow.

Earl, No one, except those who have experienced it, can begin to understand the grief of parents who have lost a child; we can only try to imagine those feelings. My prayers are with you and her family. Gary

Thank you all!!! Things are returning to normal here. We've done some fund raisers for Karsons family, many of the kids have been in sessions with youth ministers and several are participating in community service programs, including my daughter. Her faith has been renewed. God Bless you all for your prayers and kind thoughts....thank you.
