Need Help with pictures

Post by stockman »

I have a eMac OS10 the pictures I receive are usually dark. Can I lighten my monitor? How do I do this?
Also how are the pictures I send? They look good when I send on my end.

Harold, I don't know Jack about Mac's with any operating system but I did find this with Google. Hope it helps.

OS X Mavericks: Adjust your display’s brightness

If the images on your display are too light or too dark, you can adjust the display’s brightness.
◾ Use the brightness control keys. On portable computers, and if you’re using an Apple LED Cinema Display, the brightness control keys are usually the F1 and F2 function keys. On some computers, they’re the F14 and F15 function keys.
◾ If you have a Mac with ambient light sensing, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Select “Automatically adjust brightness.”
◾ Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display. Drag the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness of your display.
◾ Check the documentation that came with your display to find out how to control its brightness.

Depending on the type of display connected to your Mac, the Display pane of Displays preferences may contain a Contrast slider that you can use to adjust the display’s contrast.

You cannot adjust the brightness of some older Apple displays. In OS X Mavericks and later, the Brightness slider may no longer appear in the Displays pane of System Preferences.
