fathers pal knife collction

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Your Daddy did a terrific job of assembling this collection. You have done it justice with your display.

I think we are all jealous of what your dad acquired and of how you are displaying them. At least I am. I love displays

I don't think that's your Father's collection anymore. He obviously knew he was leaving it in good hands and knew what you would do with it. I'd bet you worked with or for your Father most of your life and that he went to great lengths to teach you all you needed to know. It's a beautiful collection and shown in a beautiful case. I think it says a lot more than what good knife collector he was and what kind of son he raised.
