Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Those advertisement knives when I first started collecting I stayed away from them. Now, I grab every one I can. The little stainless mattress knife is pretty cool I think.

Oh no!...I just snagged the two off the Bay which was the Raybesto and Kelly Tires Remington advertising. Had to have 'em. I needed the Raybesto to complete the set and I had a Kelly tire before but was not as nice as this one...wasn't cheap. ::facepalm:: ::paranoid:: ::tu::

Will get them early next week. Both show etching and I am pretty sure I can clean up the Raybesto without affecting the etching. I'll post when I get them.

I want this weekend to visit my folks. My dad has an awesome wood shop. We used to build things together all the time. So, since I have this "Remington stock knives" insert with no box. Decided to make some. Here they are.

Very cool knife showing Keith. Plate is full my friend. My Mother and Father-in-law have lived with me and my wife for the last 2 years and my Mother-in-law is dying. We are caring for her in her last few days and it has been very difficult for my loving wife and my dear father-in-law. I will be lying low for a few days...prayers are always welcomed. Much respect.
