Case XX year question

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case XX year question

Post by topgunjps »

I have the Case XX 079 pocket knife in these pics: http://imgur.com/a/OEWbJ

From the Case year guide, am I right to assume that this knife is from the 1950-1964? http://www.wrcase.com/case_college/tang_stamps/

I'm a bit new to this so am I way off?

I believe you are right. Just make sure to check the tang stamp with the blade in various positions (from fully open to fully closed) to be sure you are seeing it in its entirety.
