CASE 278 , 279 identity

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

CASE 278 , 279 identity

Post by leggo »

I've tried the research section for Case knives , and don't see these two. The small blade on the engraved one says #278. #279 on the stainless one . Both are new with no box, the guy says he thinks they are from the 70's or 80's. Both are lightning bolt SS and I can't tell if they are 9 0r 10 dots on each. I paid $25.. for each one. :? Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't answer your question, but if you post this in the case forum, you will probably get a better response.
Chris - I'd give my right arm to be ambidexterous.
