Fixed Blade Knives

Post by Handlewithcare »

Can some of the more experienced collectors of Schlieper cutlery please share your experience with dating fixed blade knives?

Also, the next topic posted to this forum will be the 100th post. I vote Paladin have the honor of making that post. Ray, the floor is yours - take a bow - we all appreciate your sharing your experience and collection!

Thanks, Mark, I'm honored. Only problem is that I am not very conversant on fixed blades. I have a few and have sold a few but other than knowing they were not 'new', I haven't a clue as to their age. My approach to my collection was to get everything that wasn't new and not worry about the specifics. I wanted the good carbon and stainless steels.
