Schrade cut co Stainless steel quality?

Post by louied »

I picked up a Schrade cut co 8813 SS and was wondering the quality of the blade steel from that era, pretty sure the knife is from the 1920's and in excellent condition.Did their stainless hold a good edge and be somewhat durable as stainless really was not used as often as carbon was.Any info would be appreciated.Thxs
