Ima wearing a Dragnet detective badge

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Would be nice to know how many were made and what year it was. Maybe it was a special run commissioned by Albert as a gift to FBI ?

Dave,

I did a quick search and only found the part number FBI7LTD

No production data in the quick search. I will dig deeper to see what I can come up with....it's a lot of files to search

Thanks for the reminder

That FBI SFO is a beauty. Several times over the years I've come up short trying to snag one.

I was under the impression it was produced in 1996 1500 pieces serialized.

Look forward to Mr. Chase's info.
