Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Various selection of jigged bone and stag handled Schrade made stockman knives. The red one second from left is a Camillus 69. All are 3 7/8" or 4" closed length.

Wow Hawk, that is a stunning picture, not to mention a terrific collection!

Yes on both accounts... the Old Timer 61OT was done by Herman Williams, the 3rd from the left is a NYKC Commemorative.

Hal, does that Camillus 69 have the gimping on the liners? I have two 69s. One long line with Delrin handles and gimping. The other a late '70s - mid '80s with Delrin handles, N/S liners and pin (handles are not pinned on like the long line) that does not have the gimping.

Yes indeed. Milled top an gimped bottom.
