My latest Schrade

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Most knife sites over the years have given me a hard time, posting links to knifes for sale.
I'm glade to know some one knows what we can do on A.A.P.N. ::dang::
Thank You for clearing that one up, Dale. ::facepalm::

WHOA GUYS!

As AAPK administrator it’s my duty to step in and set the record straight here.

On AAPK we do not restrict the posting of active auctions on eBay or other websites and we certainly don’t prohibit the posting of knives for sale in the AAPK stores!
A small percentage of each of the sales from the AAPK stores are what supports AAPK. These sales are why AAPK does not have membership fees.

We are not here to shill for eBay or any other auction sites, but if an active auction is pertinent to the topic, feel free to post it.
We also have an advertising forum where our members can post notification of knives they have for sale on eBay or in their AAPK stores.

Also, there is no prohibition about discussing knife prices.

No harm, no foul!

Thanks for the clarification. Was thinking that's an odd rule to have to not be able to post links to active auctions.

That XT series are outstanding knives!
Too bad they never got the XT4 into production!
I have a couple unground blanks, but I have never seen a finished blank or a completed knife.

1) Dale hope your doing better, just read about your difficulties last month. You and many others have been a huge resource to the knife community and your contributions are immeasurable. I know Ihave personally benefited from all your work in this area. My thanks to you.

2) Yes too bad we don't have finish production examples of the XT4. At the time it was a very forward thinking design. Saw pictures of some blanks found during the Camillus shutdown.

I just have a few more of the folders to pick up for that section of my Schrade collection.

Phil.

I just have to post my first Schrade folding knife here too, not just in the General section. It's a 1984 model.

I have been looking at this one for a long while but couldn't resist it any longer when the store owner made me a package deal on it and a Camillus C-4 .30-06. Both new but has been handled in the store.

Thanks Mate!! :) I'll do my best to post Schrades as often as my wallet permits! ::tu::

Right now I just enjoy the learning curve and try to buy good objects I like while trying to grasp all the brands and their history.

Later on I will have to focus on a few brands or patterns but that's for later.

Cheers!

I always thought the Heritage set should've had a fixed blade and the 233 is one of my favorites so Herman Williams made those 2 for me.
