Heres a few more I have picked up. I dont really know what I am doing but I buy what I like. Still need an Appaloosa Whitler to finish up that set. I have loved pocket knives since my Dad handed me my first knife. It was a Boker small Stockman with the obligatory missing emblem. Its been lost for years and years but never forgotten. When Dad passed my interest became collecting for my son and nephew. The last pic is my Grandfathers Cattaraugus. I dont know if the tip broke off or knowing him, he ground it off to have a handy screwdriver.

I have read just about every post on this forum before joining. I was hoping to get a bit of guidence from some of the fellas that have been doing it awhile. I know what I like. I prefer Bone or stag handles with Carbon steel blades of US or German origin. I seem to like the Congress pattern for collecting but find the Stockman the most useful. I dont mind Delrin, in fact we male DELRIN (R) at my plant, but I prefer natural material. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated, some tips to some good knife shows would be handy too. And while I am collecting BOKER at this time, I would not be against other fine knives.

Well, you're starting out with a good brand. I'm kinda partial to the German and USA made Bokers also.
I particularly like the 280(whittler), 7588(stockman), 8588(stockman), 9885(stockman), 85(razor jack), 1000(fellow), 182(camp knife), 9371(scout) and congress patterns....

Awwww, who am I kidding, I like them all! ::ds::

Welcome to the gang. :)
