arbolito

Post by Edgewise »

Here's a gaucho with an 8" blade and European red deer handle I thought would be made in Argentina
but it has Germany on the blade and was probably made for the Argentine market. European red deer was also imported to Argentina.
Maybe the blade was made in Germany and the knife assembled in Argentina. ::shrug::
Bought at AG Russell.

That's a fine looking knife. Wouldn't mind having one in my kitchen. KnifeSupply.com claims all their Boker Arbolito knives are made in Argentina. Even A.G. Russell states Argentina as country of origin.

"Boker Arbolito Hunting Knives are made in the Boker Arbolito facility in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Boker Arbolito Hunting Knives feature 440A Stainless Steel blades and fine handles made of Genuine Stag, Wood, or Micarta. These fixed blade hunting knives offer full tang and rivet construction, excellent balance and a wonderful fit in the hand. Each knife comes complete with a high grade Genuine Leather sheath. Arbolito Brand Knives, along with Magnum Brand Knives, are a division of Boker Knives."

It seems the blades are forged in Germany of what they call carbon steel,
probably 1070 for all purpose use by the cattlemen.
