Recently inherited Boker. Identification?

Post by coachvu »

Just got this congress from my dad. The tang only says Boker USA. Anyone know anything else about it?

coach, What is the closed length?
With that shield and bone handle, it is most likely from the 1940s-1950s.

Boker USA knives during this time period were made in Maplewood, NJ.
Looks a lot like this one from a 1940s catalog.

I have one pattern #6006 it has what is called the rat tail bolster (wide groove), it is 3 3/4" with the same shield and scales. Coach your knife should have a pattern number on the other side of Boker USA. These are very nice knives and ride well in the pocket, these knives were made to use, most of the time when you find them they have been. Very nice present from your father,
