show off your Yellow Rose GEC's!

Post by 313 Mike »

I just got in this 2014 production #66 Yellow Rose jack, and am really liking it quite a bit! Perfect fit and finish all the way around, the rose shield and the pins are perfectly flush with the scales, and the scales are perfectly flush with the bolsters. The blades are centered in the well, have just the right amount of pull, and snap open and closed with authority.

This particular knife was an SFO, and this time around they only made 25 of the yellow jacks and 25 of the yellow slims, so I feel pretty fortunate to have one.

This is also my first Yellow Rose knife, and I searched around a bit here on the site and didn't see a thread dedicated to them, but I did find many posts from other folks that sure seem to like them quite a bit too! So I thought I would start a thread and encourage those of you that have one in your accumulation to show it off here!

Let's see 'em!

Does this count? It's not a Yellow Rose (although I would like to have one) but it is smooth yellow bone. I know the square bolsters are not everyone's cup of tea but I like 'em.

Sure Jerry, that counts. Fine looking knife too, I like the bolsters, very "barlow-esqe" in size and also with the stamping on there. Quite classy!
I think I read somewhere that before they started using the term Yellow Rose bone, they called it banana bone. Same color, different name. But then I know there is a rotten banana bone too, but that's a different animal.... ((or fruit, in this case..))

I like the rotten banana too. It looks better in person.

That is a beautiful Mako John....the large handles allow for a broad expanse of that fantastic yellow bone! And Welcome to AAPK by the way
