Perry,
Pardon me while I drool on your knife! ::drool:: That is one beautiful knife and the handle looks almost like my Kershaw Macho with what I thought was called was called Buffalo Bone. That is a beautiful bone and I'm not sure it's not used more often.

Case had some stuff they called rose bone around the same time and it to is some very nice looking handle material, but the Appaloosa is and has been my favorite of the smooth bone handles.
Knifetime, that Barlow is beautiful!

Sorry for the late response. Mickey it's actually a pattern 23 Pioneer. The bigger trapper than the 73 Scout trapper. These were the first and only 2 knife patterns offered by the new GEC company in 2006.

That's a gorgeous 1 of 1 ya got there, Perry!

I do love the Calico/Apaloosa look. I sold off most of my 25's, but this one I just couldn't part with …

You know, I wouldn't be parting with that one either, Paul! ::tu:: When you get a very unique knife, you sure know it! They don't make them anymore and who knows if they ever will.

Hey knifetime, you seem to have some very nice and hard to find Case bones! I only have a couple of Case Jacks. One is an Appaloosa bone and the other is a rough black version.
