My favorite is The Boys Knife.

What I like is the look of an early 20th century knife without all the wear and tear. Rat-tail bolsters would have been a perfect addition to this knife.

What I've heard is they're too difficult. ::shrug:: Seems to me it would be simple enough to set up a vertical mill with ball mill tooling and turn them puppies out before breakfast. But what do I know? I'm not a machinist.

Makes you wonder if back in the day, they did those with a rat-tail file (thus the name). I can picture a couple of guys sitting hunched over a bench all day long, just filing grooves in bolsters.

Earl, those are exceptional!

Especially the light wood #79 ... (fiddleback maple?)

Just beautiful.
