#15 Sawyer Barlow & Huckleberry Boys Knife

Post by jerryd6818 »

Does anyone have advance information on closed length? The "Boys" in the name would indicate to me something very akin to the #25 in length. 3-1/2" would be better. ::pray::

I believe Charlie (Waynorth/Upnorth) said on Blade Forums that one of them should be 3.5" closed.
Can't wait for that.

The second time this lesson has been driven home to me. Broaden your horizons. Visit other sites besides AAPK.

From Collectorknives.net:

**Capped 3 1/2" Barlow**
#152212 Tidioute Huckleberry Spear/Pen Blades, Smooth Bolster, Cap End, All Steel, No Etches, No Serial Numbers
Nifebrite Acrylic
Jigged Bone – color to be determined
Ebony Wood

I've been wanting to find a nice Barlow with something stamped on the bolsters. From what I can tell from a partially finished knife, this just might be it.

I've been waiting for GEC to make a full sized barlow. This should be a nice one, I like the etched bolsters. It looks like several versions will be available...

A "capped" Barlow. This should be interesting.

From this picture of the #15 parts, it appears there may be two patterns made on that frame, a Barlow and a two blade Jack. Opinions? What ever they do, I'm putting knife expenditures on hold in anticipation of the #15.

Edit: And what the heck do ya think the TC stands for?

#15 and #16???? What? Will one be the Barlow and the other the capped jack? Any hints of when the knives will hit the streets?

My brain is just a lump of meat these days. The #16 would be the "Indian Girl" same-same Canoe?

Too much to process. Thanks Monk.

Jerry, now you've done it; I've been sticking to three or four brands and now you have gone and made me put a TC on my "buy list"! Beautiful handles. OH

Colonel, it's good to have company. I'm not really a big Barlow fan BUT for quite some time I've been eyeing the really nice Barlow's with 'stamped' (is that what you'd call it?) bolsters. Robeson, Russell, S&M... When I saw that's what this one was going to be AND it has a spear main, that pretty much did me in. I'm waiting to see what the Huck Boys Knife looks like. I think it's going to be a two blade Jack with spear main and if that's so, I'm twice as done in.

By golly, by gum. I do believe the Sawyer Barlow will be released in time for me to buy one for myself for Christmas. I think I'll wrap it, open it on Christmas morning and look all surprised. ::woot::
