Check out the size difference between the 3 3/4 inch Mini-Lockback and the 4 1/4 inch Missouri Trader;

1/2 inch is quite a size difference! Whaddya think guys?

Thanks for showing Barry, I was wondering what side by side would look like.

A little stouter than the 72, but not 23 size....looks like I'll be trying some more out... ::tu::

I've only looked at a couple Earl, but they were like the 72's in that one was tight and the other had a tiny amount of movement, but hardly any really. I've seen the same with the S&M mountain man lockback which seems to be the grandaddy of this pattern.

All of the 42 Traders I've looked at thus far have been very tightly constructed; any tighter and they'd be difficult to unlock. I think GEC hit a homer with the new, slightly larger lockback! ::tu:: ::tu::

I think I'll take this'un deer huntin' this fall! ::super_happy::

I've been waiting on a lockback Pioneer for a while. This is certainly a step in the right direction! Great knives fellas.

Are these new 42 lockers tight, or do they suffer a bit of blade play like some of the 72s?

Thanks' guys...it's a work in progess. Jerry that would be a big wharnie blade...who knows it could happen.

Barry I'm looking at one...seems I've spent my allowance for this week... ::facepalm::

Bass all of these have a tight lock up no play at all...I am well pleased with them..... ::tu::
