Have to make a special trip up to the PO Box today. Unlike you, I don't have the luxury of home delivery; so, walking to my mailbox would actually be about a half-day hike uphill over rough lava.

But, fear not, my ivory friend...I shall post photos just as soon as I get my tube opened and my greasy little paws on my new Beer Scout. (I'm sure that more photos of a smooth ivory bone Beer Scout is just what everyone reading this thread wants to see! )

I know, Jerry, but sometimes I forget that not everyone is addicted to knife porn to the same hardcore degree as I am.

But, what about you, my friend (and AAPK mentor)? Did you ever make a decision on which Beer Scout to get for yourself? Or perhaps you are content to continue to ogle those of others from afar, in the digitized world of virtual reality and never enjoy the loving caress of its creamy smooth "skin" in your own rough hands...Hmmm?

You show me yours, and I'll show you mine. ::paranoid:: ::uc:: ::suspense:: ::watching_you::

So...you've had this one all this time and you never told me, Big Monk? Ouch! That stings, and here I was thinking that we were friends. Surely you know about my wharncliffe fetish. (OK, we're still friends, and I'm still loving the heck outta the ones we traded, and I hope you are too.) So, what else you got hidden up yer sleeve, Monkey Man?

C'mon...cards on the table, show us what else you got stashed away. ::suspense::

Personally I'd love to see what the other Beer Scouts look like and how they compare to mine, I love seeing other versions of the same piece. Jerry's right.

Here's my new BS Knife. To be honest, in hand, the shield isn't nearly as ugly as I expected...in fact, I think I will eventually get used to it and even come to appreciate the "gimmickry" (cheers, Perry!). Hey, at least it's different and totally unique from anything else in my collection...and, as we all know, variety is the spice of life. :|

Cheers & Aloha,

Those are all very nice Gino, Q and Ivoryman! ::tu:: Here are my two BS', smooth bone and tortoise acrylic. Both very well made with great blade centering and very sharp. Handy little knife for the occasional beer or soda! My Barry SFO in Bloodwood should arrive sometime this week.

Nice looking pair you have there, Monk. What is the handle material on the orangy-colored one (bottom knife in photo), micarta, perhaps?

GEC 47 Viper. First GEC stamped knife for me, of many. One of the finest knives I've ever seen/had. For 78 bucks feels like a steal next to the Northwoods that I love. Built like a Freemont, snaps like one, feels solid like one and $51 dollars less investment. What's wrong with that? I will get more 47s.
