don't see many buck knives on here so here 's a new one i aquired. buck founder's edition 110. comes in a nice tin box with sheath. fit and finish seems more like their custom shop. alfred buck's signature is etched on mirror polished blade.

Hey! Johnnie, very nice! That was Buck's Christmas 2007 model. I bought 3 of them last November. One to use, one to put away and one for my work Buddy. They were a real bargain at $30 a piece, because of the Custom Shop like quality!

Almost forgot I had this...Virginia Wildlife puts out a collectible knife each year, varying the knife companies, 2005 was a Buck.

Here is an Alpha Dorado #271, made in USA with 154CM blade & 4" long. It was a Christmas present last year!

Yes, I like those also. Many folks wanting to keep the knife used that scroll in the center for engraving their initials or an event and so on. I think there were at least 3 in that series.

Here's one a little bit different. Got this as a gift a few years back - hangs out in the tacklebox. Not a bad knife from a utility standpoint.

Great looking Bucks!

My first Buck was from the 300-series with black composition handles. Maybe not the prettiest of pocket knives, but I remember that it impressed me a lot as a reliable user!

My last Buck was manufactured in China… It looked OK. I'm curious about it and plan to test it as a user soon. What's going on? Will more and more models be imported in the future..?

Many Buck knives are made in China, the 110 is still in the US and those of the custom shop. However I've stopped buying any 420 HC SS and Buck uses this a lot. They have a heat treat guy that does wonders with it (Boss or something like that). I have a few with that steel that i will customize and sell. I like the CPM S30V, but they charge far to much for it. The metal is difficult to get a good mirror finish so they just use a black coating - likely cheaper than finishing.

So far I have not bought any Chinese Bucks - I just walk away.

I have a couple Buck black composite knives from the 80's, the latest is a Buck 313, a Muskrat. I heard some of those were contracted out to Camilus during this time. I guess China replaced them - I ain't buying a Chinese Buck.
