I think it is more recent production, I would guess 1980s or later.

Hi Artie:
My apologies, I just cant see enough of your knife to get a decent read. Even if I could one persons opinion is just that their opinion. I am sure the following will be rhetorical to you but there may someone who does need the info. I am posting up some pictures that show some of the shots that would be nice to ID by. An overall, the blade, the pommel, the tang layout, the spacers on both end of handle and their colors, the handle grooves, the length of top false edge in reference to fuller. how far the fuller goes up the blade, any attaching devices on the pommel and I forgot an end shot of the pommel. The knife is a USN Camillus Mark 2 which is from mid WWII it has a full 7 inch blade, I believe the earlier ones were equipped with leather sheaths. There were some leather sheaths with marking but I don't think any of the early sheaths said KABAR, for clarity here the KABAR was made under the same contract as the USN knives in my opinion.
The second set of photos show a WWII 6inch utility knife of Remington Hunting pattern RH36 made by PAL. Notice the ruler in middle of photo. Gives perspective of size. Although some sheaths had staples most were equipped with rivets. As for your knifes age I prefer to not call this type a reproduction, but someones more recent version of the old knives. To me if there was any deciding factor it would be the length of the top false edge and something does not look kosher about the sheath.
Were you to provide photos to Frank Trzska and ask at his knife site he would probably give you the definitive answer.
I am more than certain that I have missed some things like a shot of under and upper side of guard on the MK2 which shows name. Thank you for your time and I hope you find some of this useful.
