Here are a few custom hawks I recently finished.
One Damascus and the other cable.
Both have maple hafts.

What form! Great work, Bruce. Heads and handles are equally beautiful. Can you show how you secured the haft?

They are mounted like any hammer, from the top, not drop in like throwing hawks. If I can remember, I'll get a picture. They were wedged with brass flat stock.
The Indians didn't regularly throw their hawks. They were too valuable.
