Old Kitchen Knives From My Great Grandmother

Post by smoothandles »

Here are some misc items I was lucky enough to save from my german great grandmother. The 4th knife down has bone handles. The top knife and single picture gets used a lot. The garden spade was something I remember her using all the time.

Great! I love old kitchen knives. That trowel is a good one too. I've got an old cleaver made in Boston Mass. The stamp isn't good but looks like Nicholson Bros.
I measure my collection by the ton.

M I. GERMANY 81-6 HANDFORGED

I bet I have the only picture of a garden trowl on this site. Better picture here. I wonder how old this is ?

This is the fork my grandmother cooked with. Turned meat, stirred gravy, ate with it. She cooked on a wood burning cook stove until the day she died an early death (age 61) in 1957.
