Sharpened these two old knives for a friend over the weekend. She keeps them at her summer house in the mountains and evidently leaves them rusty to impart extra iron into her cooking. She says the Case is her favorite cooking knife.

Those old carbon steel blades are the best.
A little vegtagle oil on the blades after every use, butchers wax on the wood handles every once and awhile and keeping away from submerging in water for long periods of time and those knive will last forever.
