Anyone ever heard of a knife with a tang stamped 'The Ideal' over USA? It looked kind of like one of those Imperial crossbar jacks. Black plastic handles - kind of a stilleto style. Old.
Sorry, no pics - didn't buy it. Just curious.

thanks for the confirmation, m-man
I guess from the lack of other responses, there aren't many that collect 'The Ideal'.

I had one of them. Metal covers that resembled jigged bone. A barlow style. Cheap at best.

yeah - the one I was looking at definitely appeared to be a cheap knife. I guess the fact that it was old made it somewhat interesting. Not interesting enough for me to buy though.
I also came across an old Schrade Walden that was in rough shape. Think it use to be a stockman. Old bone handles and shield were intact. The blades and liners were wasted. Heavy rust, broken blades that were almost completely sharpened away - no snap.
Finding nice old knives around were I live is almost impossible!
