Case Barlow Question.

Post by DMLEATH »

Got a question on this one- it looks like the tang stamp is on wrong side of blade. Why did Case do this?

My thought is that since it is a newer knife, and they used a historic older stamp in the tang on the front, they also stamped the rear with the new tang dating stamp. I'm not a modern Case knife collector, so can't say for sure. But I'm sure some knowledgeable collectors will give a definitive answer.

Yes, that was what Case called the "tang stamp" series.
