NJ,
I hate to rain on your parade but I doubt anybody will know about the metal used in a knife from that part of the world.

Welcome to AAPK.

I hate to be blunt but it needs to be said, what was left unsaid is knives from Pakistan get no respect in the knife collecting world or the knife using world. I hope you didn't pay more than a few dollars for it.

this is me not being serious.. ....just answering yer question:
PLASTIC(of some type ::shrug:: ) WITH EMBEDDED GLITTER...OR something very very similar

and i dont think they were trying to be HARSH,RUDE,OR TOO SERIOUS, JUST GUYS BEING HONEST

knives made in PAKISTAN are not really the collector type to most knife collectors...again i say MOST!
and as jerry said..WE HOPE YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY TOO MUCH! just tryin' to be KIND and FRIENDLY
AS MOST ARE WORTH ABOUT $1- 5 u.s. DOLLARS(if that)........nobody wants to see another knife guy/gal get ROBBED....JMHO HOPE YOU DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY TOO.....

nj,,,welcome to aapk, where we try to help and amuse each other. we all hope you can stick around..ask anything you want and post pics of anything you have.
there is no insult here to you or your interests. it is just that many here do not want to even discuss anything related to pakistan cultery. that is why you have so many hits to your question but no answers. we are only trying to be polite. your handles are probably made of either celluloid or some sort of acrylic resin.

oops we posted at the same time josh.....i agree with everything you and jerry and ray have said.

Welcome to AAPK MJ sorry you got upset over a few replies. You will find this is a very good site with a lot of members with knowledge on various knifes. Some have likes and dislikes and you will see similar replies on knives made in China.I have a couple of Pakistan knives that was in with some other knives I purchased. The seller put them with the other knives because he could not sell them.

NJ,
I kinda feel responsible for getting this off on the wrong track. Not that what I said wasn't true but I thought you were asking about the type of steel used in the blade. My mistake, mea culpa.

Ahh for Pete's sake. If I offended you, that certainly was not the intention. Please accept my sincere apology.

And again I apologize. I have no clue what the knife or handles are made of.

jerry, i saw something similar to that before, just up the road a few miles from here at one of those millionaire estates. only the deer went almost all the way thru the wrought fence except he couldnt get his hind quarter thru..... it was very sad to see him after he rotted away like that. but i get the point........alas, so did he ::teary_eyes::
