CASE 3/4 Patterns

Post by zp4ja »

As far as CASE patterns with the 3/4 designation...

I was only able to find a few knives in my books and I think all were in the WR Case & Sons era. 09, 31 and 35 patterms.

was this blade type used in later era like tested and XX?

Thanks, Jerry

I don't recall ever seeing one outside a W.R. stamping.

Which patterns did you see? I do not know what the 3/4 designates.

Steve,

Should have been more clear with my question.

Same blade has flat and saber side as I understand it. As in the WR Case & Sons 61009-3/4 for example. Just wondering if there other patterns and eras they can be found in.

Thanks, Jerry

Thanks for the input TheFarside!

I got the 6231 3/4 pictured above in the mail today. The tang stamp is W.R. Case & SON, Bradford, Pa. I suppose according to Goins that stamp was only used around 1905. Were the one's mentioned earlier W.R. Case & Sons or could they be W. R. Case & SON also. I found a 6231 3/4 pictured in Sargent's 5th edition. It says it is W. R. Case & Sons. Curious as to how many years they were actually produced??? I really like the knife and the history. Any help appreciated. ::tu::
