The tang stamp looks like it says
Utica co.
germany
Did Utica use this stamp or am I seeing things?

I would say that Utica Co Germany is not related to Utica Cutlery Co of upstate NY. Also not related to Utica Knife and Razor. I like the glass cutter on your knife.

Thanks gunsil for the info. It makes sense now. Looks like Utica knife and razor imported knives from Germany.

Yes, UK&R had knives made in Germany but I doubt the one shown is one of theirs. Every UK&R I have seen was marked with the full name or initials.

Very cool old Bartender's knife. ::tu:: Would a bartender have used a glass cutter back in the day? ::shrug::
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Thanks for the info guys! I don’t know about that. Maybe open a bottle of vino while cutting glass?

I found the same exact knife in The standard knife collectors guide fifth edition by Roy Ritchie & Ron Stewart Page 514. The knife pictured is made by Dixon of Germany 1920’s and has plastic simulated tortoise shell.
