All About Pocket Knives

I have an old Schrade knife that was not on any of the catalog lists. I was wondering if anyone could share anything you might know about it with me. It has a 4 1/4 inch blade and is 5 1/4 inches closed. The blade is stamped with "SCHRADE U.S.A. SC500" and it has 815 stamped on the bolster by the base of blade. There is nothing stamped on the reverse side of blade. The handle has 2 buffalos facing each other, similar to the Schrade National Parks Services Anniversary 1916-1991 knife listed in the picture gallery. Under the buffalo on the right there is a name in cursive, "F Giorgianni 78". The linings are brass and has silver nickel bolsters. I would be very greatful for any info you could provide me. Thanks

i am not familiar with the schrade scrimshaw knives. i do not own any. schrade has done great work with their knives. too bad they closed down. i do see plenty of them on the ebay market and here. i am sure someone will fill you in on the value of that piece..

This knife was part of the Great American Outdoor series. Made in 1979. (per Levine's Guide).

F. Georgiani was the artist that designed those stamps for Schrade's Scrimshaw series knives.
