Re: colonial knife NEW web site for military
Glad to see the Mark 1 reissue is still being offered. It's a good deal for a 5" 1095 field knife, in my opinion. I have two of them, and use one regularly. I just have to ask this, though...what's the story on the Mark 1 pictured on the home page? I've never seen one with a low saber grind on the blade like that, as opposed to the high saber, nearly flat grind.

I had the grinding department do a 1/2 grind in order to keep the blade as thick as possible. The WWII issue used the full grind. The 1/2 grind doesn't effect the cutting edge yet makes the blade a bit stronger.
Thanks for the question,
